Installing Sunbird on a network.

In the end, we want to be able to access Sunbird calendar from any PC, be it windows or linux on the same samba network.
Double click sunbird-0.9.en-US.win32.installer.exe to install the software on a local PC.

We have a linux samba server drive that is recognized on every windows PC as R:
There we have a directory called R:\mozilla\calendar.
Because it's linux, we created empty files with touch, each called by one of our names.
Gave them permissions. And in Sunbird, saved the empty home calendar to these named files one by one.

Exit Sunbird.
Copy
C:\Documents and Settings\Kevin\Application Data\Mozilla\Sunbird\Profiles\8iodb7lp.default\
to
R:\mozilla\Sunbird.default
Start -> Run ->thunderbird -profilemanager
Use profile manager to create a new profile:
R:\mozilla\Sunbird.default.
And use it from every PC instead of the local profile.

Then in Sunbird we could start editing each calendar with each persons events by opening each of those *.ics files and we are good to go.
